Slow Cooker Hearty Chili

Ingredients:

  • ½ pound of Camellia Brand Red Kidney Beans
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic
  • 1 (29-ounce) can or 2 (14.5-ounce) cans no-sodium diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 3 teaspoons chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon adobo seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

 

Directions:

  1. Rinse and sort beans. (Optional: Soak beans using your preferred method.)
  2. Cook and drain beef.
  3. Add all ingredients except cheese to slow cooker. Mix ingredients well.
  4. Cook on low heat for 8 hours.
  5. Add salt to taste. Top each bowl with shredded cheese.
