Slow Cooker Pinto Beans

Ingredients:

 

  • 4 cups Camellia Brand Pinto Beans
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • 4 garlic cloves, smashed and peeled
  • 1 sliced fresh jalapeño, or 5-8 slices of jarred jalapeños, or 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Water or stock

Directions:

  1. Rinse and sort beans. (Optional: Soak beans using your preferred method.)
  2. Put beans in a slow cooker.
  3. Add all other ingredients and cover with enough water or stock to cover.
  4. Cook on high 6-8 hours, until beans are tender and liquid has thickened to desired consistency.
